दान देने वाला पूर्वाभिमुखी होकर दान दे और लेने वाला उत्तराभिमुखी होकर उसे ग्रहण करे, ऐसा करने से दान देने वाले की आयु बढ़ती है और लेने वाले की भी आयु क्षीण नहीं होती।
स्वयं जाकर दिया हुआ दान उत्तम एवं घर बुलाकर दिया हुआ दान मध्यम फलदायी होता है। गौओं, ब्राह्मणों तथा रोगियों को जब कुछ दिया जाता हो, उस समय जो न देने की सलाह देता हो वह दु:ख भोगता है।

The donor, giving a charity, gives a donation and the person taking it upside down and receives it, by doing so the age of the donor increases and the age of the taker is not very weak.
  Self-made donations are good and the house donated is moderately fruitful. When something is given to cow's, Brahmins and patients, those who advise not to give up, suffer pain.
