Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - Stage 21: Piston It Away (100% Completed)

The 1st level of this 5th Warp Room takes place in a new theme: A factory. A factory run by Cortex, himself. Amongst the things that go on here, there are shrink rays that Crash can shield from by spinning.

Getting 100% in this level in one sitting is a bit harder to do. In fact, its crate Gem relies on the Skull Route to the challenge Gem in order to be acquired, as well.

First, go through the main path, breaking all the crates you can, including the ones in the Bonus. You'll have to backtrack in that Bonus after hitting the "!" crate in it. It looks pretty tricky to do that without touching those Nitros in the way.

Once all of the crates are broken in the main path, go back to where you first found the Skull Route platform. Hopefully you spared that one tentacle robot for a boost jump over one of the shrink rays.

The Skull Route contains more crates that you can break. If you follow this route to the end and hit the Green "!" Crate at the end, you'll get both Gems as well as the Crystal you should already have at this point.

I think this is the only level that sets up how you get both of its Gems in such a way, which is good because this was kinda cruel to do...
