Cowan Simulation Robinson R22 - Low level fun around the Isles of Scilly -Microsoft Flight Simulator

Today we’re taking the brand-new Robinson R22 by Cowan Simulation up for a low level flight around the beautiful Isles of Scilly. I’m used to seeing a lot of R22s from the helicopter flight school at my local airfield, so I had to pick it up to try it out.

Even though this is my first video with one of CowanSim’s helicopters on the channel, apart from the R66 I got all their other ones too. I don’t know if it is just because it’s the new kid in town, but I think the R22 might be my new favorite.

The visual model is fantastic, with tons of detail, especially around the engine. The sounds are good too and it’s an absolute blast to fly. I think it’s a bit more challenging to fly then the Airbus H125, but a lot easier then the 500E or helicopters like the Lama or Alouette.

Originally, I intended to make a video around Milford Sound, as it is one of my favorite sceneries and thought it would be a good time to explore it, since NZMF just released it in the Marketplace too. However, running two recording software’s + the R22 and Milford Sound was a bit too much for my computer…So I chose the Isles of Scilly instead. It’s another one of my favorite sceneries with a ton of small details.
