People report problems with their Nespresso machines where if the machine sits with a dry tank for too long, air enters the system and goes into the pump. With air in the pump, it will run but not pump water. My solution is to find a piece of flexible pipe or hose that fits exactly fits into the water intake point, and push water into the system by forcefully blowing into the hose. (Vertuoline 2014 model)
