Ingredients:
• Boneless chicken breast - 500 gm
• Onion powder - 1 tsp
• Garlic powder - 1 tsp
• Paprika - 1 tsp
• Chilli powder - 1 tsp
• Chilli flakes - 2 tsp
• Garlic granules - 2 tsp
• Olive oil - 1 ½ tbsp + olive oil spray (or butter slices)
• Lime juice - 1 tsp
• Salt - ¾ tsp
• All-purpose flour - 1 tsp (optional)
• Water - 2 tbsp
Preparation Steps:
1. Prepare Seasoning for Marination:
In a bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, chilli powder, olive oil, lime juice, and oregano. Mix well.
Add water to loosen the mixture. Set aside.
2. Pound the Chicken Pieces:
Washed and drained chicken pieces are placed in a zip lock cover for tenderise to ensure equal thickness for easy absorption and uniform cooking.
3. Make Deep Stripes on Chicken Pieces:
Make diagonal deep cuts on the chicken pieces for maximum absorption of seasoning in a short period.
Rubbing of all-purpose flour over the chicken pieces for a thin coating.(optional)
4. Marinate the Chicken Pieces
Rub the prepared seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken.
Add chilli flakes and garlic granules for extra flavour.
Cover with cling wrap and let it rest for at least 6-8 hours, preferably overnight.
5. Air Fry the Chicken:
Place air fryer paper in the air fryer basket and arrange the chicken pieces on top.
Spray olive oil or place thin slices of butter on the chicken to prevent dehydration.
Air fry at 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes on both sides.You can also use oven or pan grill ...
