Kernel Flow Predicts Gaming Expertise

Описание к видео Kernel Flow Predicts Gaming Expertise

Kernel & Aim Lab are announcing a demonstration that shows predictive power of Kernel Flow neuroimaging technology. With just a few minutes of recorded brain activity, Flow was able to accurately predict gaming expertise.

This successful demonstration allows confidence in extending our work to focus on quantifying subjective measures such as depression, anxiety and pain as well as difficult to detect phenomena such as early cognitive decline.

Kernel Flow recorded brain activity of 72 players while playing Aim Lab’s Gridshot, showing the relationship between gameplay and brain function. The study was designed to predict the performance of the players given their brain activity, using Kernel neuroimaging technology to better understand what sets a high performing champion gamer’s brain apart from a beginner’s.

This marks a step toward measuring things about the mind that have been unquantifiable until now. Just as our model could predict gaming expertise with high accuracy, we can begin to investigate and better understand the effect of anything on the brain.

Our brain knows things that we don’t. Wisdom we want, need and must know. With Flow, now we can.
