The LiveU Solo - Our Secret Weapon

Описание к видео The LiveU Solo - Our Secret Weapon

Over here at PTZOptics we have a secret weapon we use for live streaming that you may have noticed in our latest broadcasts. The LiveU Solo has become one of our most valuable live streaming tools, giving us the ability to produce a high quality live stream from anywhere with cellular service. Armed with a LiveU Solo our team has had the chance to go places we never thought possible with a sense of confidence that our video production efforts will get out to our viewers without interruption.

At first glance, the LiveU Solo may seem like a device only used for In Real Life or IRL Streaming. And it’s true, this device is perfect for on-the-go mobile streaming with it’s built in battery and support for HDMI or SDI video camcorders. But looking a little deeper you can see how the LiveU Solo is becoming the new Television Satellite Truck for the everyday live streamer. We have used cloud based live streaming software from EasyLive to mix our studio RTMP video streams together in the cloud with our LiveU Solo feed coming from a remote location. This allows us to cut to remote reporters and camera feeds coming from anywhere we need and create a television studio style presentation on a budget.

But that’s not all, recently we live streamed a Fashion Show using the Sling Studio with multiple PTZOptics cameras. We were of course promised a reliable internet connection but the golf course location had no password on their WiFi network. They essentially allowed everyone in the venue access to their free WiFi which gobbled up all of the available bandwidth they had promised us for live streaming the Fashion Show. Luckily, using the LiveU Solo we were able to bypass the WiFi system with cellular bonding using multiple 4G cellular connections from both Verizon and AT&T.

From a marketing perspective we love the way our Solo unit allows us to bring our social media audience along for the ride on adventures we never thought possible. We recently live streamed the NAB New York Show in downtown Manhattan with an active, engaged audience, excited to see the latest live streaming technology on display. We were able to use overlaid graphics and produce a show that really transported our viewers into a space they wouldn’t otherwise be able to participate in. With all the different ways to advertise our companies attendance at a major technology show, setting up our mobile IRL backpack turned out to have the best Return on Investment.

Just next week, we will be live streaming the world’s largest Church Technology Expo called WFX, in Orlando Florida, from the showroom floor. This is an amazing opportunity for church leaders to check out the latest Worship Technology companies exhibiting at the show without having to fly all the way to Orlando! On Day two of the WFX Show, we will be announcing the winner of our Church Technology Giveaway live from the showroom floor. It’s going to be an exciting broadcast to say the least.

There is so much you can do with the LiveU Solo. I think you’ll agree it’s an essential tool for any live streamers tool bag. But, what else does LiveU Offer? They have larger more advanced streaming solutions as well… to cover this in more detail I will introduce to you Claudia Barbiero from LiveU to discuss some of the more interesting products from LiveU including a broadcaster community connecting freelancers with network television studios and much, much more...
