Latest Update: The Tata Altroz Racer, which is a sportier version of regular Altroz, has been launched.

Price: It is priced between Rs 9.49 lakh and Rs 10.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan India).

Variants: The Altroz Racer is available in three broad variants: R1, R2, and R3. We have detailed the entry-level R1 and mid-spec R2 variants of the Altroz Racer in images.

Colour Options: The Altroz Racer comes in three colour options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey.

Boot Space: It offers a boot space of 345 litres.

Engine and Transmission: The sportier version of the Altroz uses a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol 3-cylinder engine (120 PS/170 Nm) derived from the Nexon. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only.

Features: Features on board the Altroz Racer include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 7-inch fully digital driver’s display. It also gets an 8-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, a sunroof, auto AC wireless phone charger, cruise control, ventilated front seats (segment first), and air purifier.

Safety: In terms of passenger safety, it gets six airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, and rear parking sensors.

Rivals: The Altroz Racer takes on the Hyundai i20 N Line. But if you have a similar budget and are not particular about a buying a sporty car, then there are plenty of other models in this range such as Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter micro SUVs, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and sub-4m crossovers like the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.
