MY FIRST AND AND LAST EVER TAIWAN THRU HIKE? XUESHAN WEST RIDGE - 雪山西稜線直通徒步 - 我第一次，也會是我最後一次嗎？(有中文字)

I recently spent 6 days completing my first ever thru hike in Taiwan - the Xueshan (or Snow Mountain) West Ridge trail. At almost 63km and with 4000m elevation gain - including 6 of Taiwan's Top 100 peaks - it was an amazing experience, but at the same time it was extremely tough.
The whole experience left me exhausted and pondering, would this be my first and last ever Taiwan thru-hike?

The Trail
Accommodation on the trail needs to be booked in advance. Overseas visitors can reserve cabin space in advance on the Sheipa National Park website:

Transport:
The Xueshan trailhead is located inside Wuling Farm (武陵農場)
The 1751 bus from Yilan to Lishan (梨山) stops at Wuling Farm.
The fare is around NT$300 (US$9) and will take around 2-3 hours.
There is also the 1764 bus from Luodong.
Once at Wuling you can take a shuttle bus from the Wuling Farm Guest House (武陵國民賓館) but you need to call ahead to check the times and book.
