Nova is a beautiful black leopard, and when this video was recorded, she was five years old.

Normally, an adult leopard can be quite dangerous, but Nova is an exception because she knows me well and has seen me since she was young.

For some reason all black leopards, not just Nova, seem to enjoy licking my skin. This doesn't happen with spotted leopards, but with black leopards, it's a consistent behavior.

For Nova, licking my skin is a gesture of affection, and even though her tongue is rough and unpleasant, I let her do it for a while. However, it quickly becomes very painful to have her rough tongue on my skin, and I have to stop the leopard.
