Asha lives a poor lifestyle along with her widowed dad, is in love with aspiring doctor Raj Kumar, and hopes to marry him someday. Raj shifts abroad for his further studies promising Asha that he would return back and marry her. After couple of months, Asha's father gets her married to his friend’s son Shyamlal before he would die. Meanwhile Raj returns back. Now will Asha go back to Raj leaving her husband and son behind?
