Описание к видео The Barbell Life - Ep. 49 - Michael Youngblood - Climbing to the Top Rope of the Wrestling Game

Charles M. Haywood aka Chief Michael Youngblood

I was Born July 26th 1975 in Scotland County North Carolina to Janice & Charles Haywood, i have 2 brothers Jason & Jeremy Haywood.
Married to Tresa Haywood and we have 4 children, married 9yrs.

I grew up in the wrestling business from a very early age of 3yrs old where i got to see my father do bookings of small town venues and help promote professional wrestling for Jim Crockett Promotions in the Carolina territories. I was an all around athlete from an early age competing in football. baseball and of course Amutuer wrestling from age 6 till 18. Through these years i would also follow my dad on his summer and spring journeys promoting pro wrestling which is where i fell in love with the business. I believed every moment of the business at that time thinking it was real and had my favorites just like any other fan would. My biggest influence was none other than Ric Flair, the Road Warriors and the American Dream Dusty Rhodes. I was offered athletic scholarships to Michigan State & Iowa State University's turning them both down to pursue a career in Professional Wrestling.
I began my wrestling career shortly after high school through the training of the former WWE Champion "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff and WWE Hall Of Famer Robert Gibson of the Rock-n-Roll Express. My training would land me a spot a the biggest show of them all WWE at that time WWF in 1994 till 1996.moving on to the Independent territories wrestling 7 days a week perfecting my craft in the art of wrestling and entertainment. Spent 300 to 340 days a year for 14 yrs of my career on the road night after night, town after town performing in front of crowds of 200 to 20,000 people depending on the city or country i was in. Favorite places i loved performing was in Japan,Puerto Rico and New York City due to the fan base and money to be made!
Had many ups and downs in the wrestling industry as most do, but stood strong and kept pushing forward to one day get a major contract in the WWE as a top talent show casing my skills of scientific wrestling, grappling and high flying stunts to make the crowds woooooo. Had several major injuries over my 23yr career one in specific almost ending me permanently. I broke my neck in 2010 putting me out of action 3yrs. It took many months and countless hours coming back from this injury and healing than strengthening my neck and shoulders through stretching, deep tissue massage and bridges making my neck strong enough to compete again. I stepped back into the ring in 2015 picking up where i left off as if nothing ever happened. Even though i still compete with the best athletes in the business, i do not let my injuries play apart in me not competing at my best due to the daily body pains and suffering i experience do to severe nerve damage in neck and shoulders. My therapy is the gym and eating the right foods that help with decreasing the inflammation and pain in these areas. I do not believe in drug use to help me get through the day with my pain, i feel that hinders my reality and takes away the feeling of knowing i am still alive! This is just a little about the man, Michael Youngblood.
