IMPRINT Explained Mission Karmayogi Civil Services Reforms

For a long time, a need for restructuring and focusing on the training of civil servants in the context of challenges of the democratic processes have been felt. Civil Servants have been seen to be rule-based, rigid , anti-democratic, and anti-development, further in the context of modern developments like Artificial Intelligence, Big Data , Machine Learning, and more recently the COVID pandemic their competencies have fallen short. Hence there is a need to restructure and reform the training process and the evaluation of civil servants.
To solve this Mission Karmayogi-a National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) has been approved by the cabinet.
The ultimate aim of Mission Karmayogi is to ensure “Ease of Living” for common man, “Ease of Doing Business” and Citizen-Centricity that is reducing the gap between the government and the citizens
