CBS' WKYT 27 NewsFirst at 5:30 PM Winter Storm from mid January 1994. Featuring Sam Dick and Barbara Bailey reporting on the winter storm of 1994 during the issued State of Emergency due to the weather. Their was a record of roughly over 15 inches of snow and almost all roads, including freeways/highways, being closed. Due to this event, Kentucky bolstered prep for future cold weather events.
