Michael Collins: The Man and the Revolution

Описание к видео Michael Collins: The Man and the Revolution

Michael Collins was a man who knew the power of his own persona, and capitalised on what people wanted to believe about him. The question of who he really was continues to fascinate people. But the willingness to see him as the sum of the Irish Revolution, and in turn reduce him to a caricature of his many parts, clouds our view of both the man and the revolution.

To discuss the life and legacy of Michael Collins, Myles Dungan talks to Anne Dolan of Trinity College Dublin and William Murphy of Dublin City University – together they’re the authors of the book Michael Collins: The Man and the Revolution which is published by the Collins Press.
