FLIMS Lower Segnesboden :: Wood Travels

We camped the night outside our friends mountain hut at the Foppa station in Flims. The next morning, we set off for the Unterer (Lower) Segnesboden.

We hiked from Foppa to Startgels.
Took the gondola from Startgels to Grauberg.
Picnicked while overlooking the Unterer Segnesboden.
Hiked the 22 loop down to Unterer Segnesboden where we played in the water and the vast glacier fields.
Then we continued on the 22, with a quick stop at the climbing arena.
At the Segneshütte, we took the steep trail back up to Grauberg before making the return to Foppa.

It was a long, but BEAUTIFUL day, and the kids were troopers! Completely exhausted by the end, especially after their first camping experience the night before, but we were so proud.

HIGHLY recommend a visit, and hope to take all our visitors to this beautiful spot!
