Subs Raj's gaze analyses like a sculptor, reimaging time and reconstruct spaces. Transcending length, width, and height, his material sculpts experiences in different shapes and forms, springing out of the notion of depth. Drawing, photography, design - each medium presents its vulnerabilities and strengths. Breaking, building, cutting, reassembling; creates the language of Subs' work, where the wound is eternal. Sweat, blood, and breathe life into the materials. The wound gradually morphs into a scene-speak of rootlessness, of transience.

In Subs Raj's exhibition 'Rock, Paper, Scissors', materials like ink, wax, paint, charcoal, prints, nails, bamboo, chalk, paper, and found objects weave various possibilities. History confronts with questions-Who remain 'Unseen'? What is the meaning of land for the 'unseen'? What is home? What is the meaning of 'body'? What is the sense of 'Self? Question recurs, echoes. It invites us to apprehend familiar materials in unfamiliar states. The migrant body composes a borderless terrain, transforms constantly, a reservoir of the past and solid aggregate of the present and uncertainty.

সাবস্ রাজের তীক্ষ্মতর দৃষ্টি একজন ভাস্করের মতন করে বিশ্লেষণ করে, সময় এবং স্থানকে পুনর্কল্পনা ও পুনর্নির্মাণ করে। দৈর্ঘ্য, প্রস্থ, উচ্চতা কে ছাপিয়ে গভীরতার ধারণা থেকে তার উপকরণগুলো খোদাই করে অভিজ্ঞতার আকার এবং রূপ। ড্রয়িং, আলোকচিত্র, ডিজাইন- প্রতিটি মাধ্যম হাজির হয় তাদের স্বকীয়তা, দুর্বলতা ও শক্তি নিয়ে। ভাঙ্গাগড়া, কাটাছেড়া, জোড়া দেয়া; সাবস্ এর কাজের ভাষা, আঘাতের অবস্থান যেখানে নিত্য। ঘাম, রক্ত, উপকরণগুলোতে দেয় প্রাণ। আঘাত ধীরে ধীরে রূপান্তরিত হয় দৃশ্যতে-কথা বলে শেকড়হীনতার, ক্ষণস্থায়িত্বের। 'শিলা, কাগজ, কাঁচি' (Rock, Paper, Scissors) প্রদর্শনীতে, কালি, মোম, রঙ, চারকোল, প্রিন্ট, পেরেক, বাঁশ, চক, কাগজ, রাস্তায় খুঁজে পাওয়া বস্তু নানান সম্ভাবনা বুনতে থাকে। ইতিহাস প্রশ্নের মুখোমুখি দাড়ায়- কারা 'অদেখা' থেকে যায়? 'অদেখা' দের ভূমি কি?ঘর কি? শরীর কি? 'আমি' কি?পরিযায়ী শরীরে রচিত হয় সীমানাহীন জমিন-ক্রমাগত রূপান্তরিত, অতীতের আধার, বর্তমান ও অনিশ্চয়তার কঠিন সমষ্টি। প্রশ্নের পুনরাবৃত্তি হয়-প্রতিধ্বনিত হয়। আমন্ত্রণ জানায় পরিচিত উপকরণগুলোকে অপরিচিত পরিস্থিতে ধারণ করতে।
