Presented by, and in collaboration with, the Sons of Pericles, we are proud to present our panel, "A Hellenic Heart: Philhellenes in the Revolution." The presentation, hosted by prospective Sons of Pericles in New Haven, CT discusses briefly the Philhellenic movement in the Greek Revolution and its significance, before delving into the life of Samuel Gridley Howe, the great American and Philhellene who exemplified the idea of being a Patriot of two nations, demonstrating remarkable selflessness in his contributions to the Greek Revolution, as well as his service to the United States.
