With just 43 days to go to this year's National and Provincial Elections on the 29th of May, new political parties are gearing up for a David versus Goliath polls battle.

Addressing the high unemployment rate and the energy crisis are priorities for them.

But can they keep their promises in what will be the most hotly-contested elections since 1994?

As part of our series focusing on the role of new and small political parties, this morning we take a closer look at what they stand for.
