After the creation of the Flaine Academy by my dear father Serge Petitgirard, pianist (listen to his magical Chopin recordings in 1952 on the pianist playlist on this channel) I was in charge from 1986 to create a festival in the superb auditorium promoted by Eric and Sylvie Boissonnas, a couple who supported the arts like no one else. I did it till 1997.
The Academy continues since with my friend Bruno Latouche as director.
In 2019, for the 40th anniversary of the Academy and the 50th anniversary of the construction of the Station, I conducted this evocation of this incredible challenge to build a modern city in the high mountain (the architect was Marcel Breuer).
