Vacuum pump, valve or shuttle lock – all three react on your residual limb as you increase your walking speed. This short animation shows how they differ, helping you and your prosthetist pick out just the one for your daily activities. But keep in mind: The more YOU move during the day, the less you’ll want your residual limb moving around in your socket.
