This Spot NEVER Gets Old | Trout Fishing Colorado

It's hard to resist hitting this spot at the end of August every year. The bite turns on, and it's more like catching than fishing. Despite a very challenging hike up (for me, not Joe), I made it to the lakes accompanied by my friend Joe. We had so much fun catching cutthroat trout, that we learned a lesson of how unforgiving mother nature can be. Though the video doesn't show it, we ran into a long, heavy, storm on our way down the mountain. We were drenched, fatigued, and quite sore by the time we reached the vehicle. It's crazy how quick the weather can turn around in places like this, but it's always good to be prepared for it. We were not! Thankfully, we made it back safely. Still, this one goes down as an unforgettable trip, especially because Joe got to catch more fish than he ever has before. This video is a bit on the longer side, but the intent was to capture the scenery and the good times had not just by me, but by Joe too.
