What is a School Social Worker?

Thank you to new subbie and social work undergrad AlmaLulu for requesting this video on school social work…Many think that in order to help kids in schools you have to become a school counselor—NOT the case- School social workers actually have more time and flexibility to work with students one on one on various mental health and social issues. We pick up where other school staff leave off to serve each student anti their family!
If you have any more questions please ASK away!!! FYI most school social workers are required to have a Master’s in Social Work and be licensed in the state in which they are working.
