A former Centre County journalist admitted to attempting to have sex with a 14-year-old girl as part of his guilty plea in federal court.

Christopher Morelli appeared in federal court in Williamsport on Thursday where a prosecutor told a judge that the 55-year-old had repeatedly contacted an undercover FBI agent who was posing as a teenage girl.

Prosecutors allege that Morelli was attempting to solicit nude photos of the “girl” and reportedly wanted to take her to a motel to have sex.

Morelli replied, “yes your honor,” when asked by the judge if that claim was true.
