Lord Shiva, is the keeper of the damaru or percussion, which provides the rhythmic beats and sounds of deep emotional resonance. Kumar, a musician from the great Carnatic tradition, is quite simply one of the most outstanding performers of our era. Praised for his technique, supreme musicality, passion and effortless virtuosity on the mridangam, he is accompanied by two of India’s finest groove masters.
