"Hoard" || A Senior Art Performance

Hello everyone! Bet this just randomly showed up on your recommended huh?

This is a strange one for sure, and It might be obviously surreal and most likely my longest time being filmed while acting out of character-but It's definitely something I want to put out there. "Hoard" was a a join art performance and project during my senior year of university as an art major.

It was meant to encapsulate the hoarding of my identity-both as a hispanic and evolving person within the U.S. It was a personal work meant to embody everything I'd done up to that point, and the costume itself was actually created out of old art projects and scraps from what I'd originally thrown away. Yet equally so, I left it up to interpretation-"Hoard" is quite literally a 14 minute video of my weighed-down figure (that costume was heavy) stumbling and searching around my house out of focus and making a pile of my belongings in an empty kitchen. Yet ever so, it was weirdly cathartic.
