The Battle of Soor, 1745 ⚔️ | Frederick the Great's Second Silesian War (1744-1745)

On a foggy and misty early morning in September 1745, Charles of Lorraine and his Habsburg army ambushed Frederick the Great's Prussian army camping nearby the village of Burkersdorf. It became an incredibly bloody and gruesome battle. The French envoy remarked that at 'Hohenfriedberg he fought for Silesia, at Soor, he fought for his life.'
