This class explores the legalities of protesting, why to pull a permit or not to pull a permit, the legalities of counterprotesting, and the special legal circumstances under which street/riot/protest/action medics operate.

Our Safe(ish) Protesting is intended to prepare people to participate in protests in an informed, risk-aware fashion. It will provide information on legalities, infosec and opsec, organization and organizational structures, self-care (for before, during, and after), working with others, recognizing and responding to counter agents, what to eat, what to carry, what to wear, dealing with police tactics, dealing with police weaponry, jail support, and preventing and treating common injuries, and more.
