In today's video, we’re making every Nuka-Cola recipe from the Vault Dweller’s Cookbook! I’ve already made an entire video dedicated to Nuka-Cola Quantum (linked here:    • FALLOUT: I Tried EVERY Nuka-Cola QUAN...  ), but the other recipes deserved some love too so we're making Nuka-Cola, Nuka-Cherry, and Nuka-Quartz from the Fallout Cookbook (we'll also sample Merle's Very Cherry Soda and a more lore-accurate take on Nuka-Cherry).

I also thought it would be prudent to locate the coveted Nuka-Cola Formula; the quest "Cappy in a Haystack" from the Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC could help us find it through a contest put on by Nuka-Cola Corporation CEO John-Caleb Bradberton before the Great War that Sierra Petrovita told us about (she even has a Nuka-Cola Museum in the Capital Wasteland that appeared in Fallout 3). I just wanted to make a quick video about fictional sodas, but in the words of The Ghoul from the Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime Video, "thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time."

History of the Nuka-Cola Corporation
The Nuka-Cola Corporation was a pre-War beverage corporation; by the time of the Great War in 2077 it was the single largest beverage company in the United States. Underneath the family-friendly facade, the corporation was a cutthroat entity that had perfected corporate espionage and was involved in covert weapons research with the United States military through its world-class team of organic chemists known as the Beverageers, emblematic of the ruthless world of pre-War corporate America.

Their flagship soda Nuka-Cola entered the beverage market in 2044, with the invention of the soft drink by John-Caleb Bradberton after two years of experimentation. Though strictly unhealthy (containing 120% of the recommended daily allowance of sugar), it took the United States market by storm and within a year it could be purchased nationwide. Its popularity rapidly increased and within several years it was the most popular beverage across the globe.

What is Fallout about?
The setting of Fallout exists in an alternate timeline that completely diverged from our own timeline after World War II. From this split all the way up until the Great War in 2077, a technologically advanced retrofuturistic atomic age representation of the 1950s dominated the culture and society of the fiction of the Fallout series. In particular, the United States was dominated by the continuation of a corrupted American Dream and an overly suppressive form of American exceptionalism. The science-fiction anthology Worlds of Tomorrow, published during the Golden Age of Science Fiction in the 1950s, heavily influenced this representation.
