Rubber Band making process explained / Rubber Band Manufacturing in Kerala / How rubber band is made

Rubber bands are very common in our day today life. Let's see how to make rubber bands from rubber. As we know the main ingredient of rubber band is liquid rubber(latex) . The first step is to mix the latex with chemicals and soap water. After proper mixing these in a big vessel , it will keep for 3 days rest to separate the water and latex. After three the water will get separated and we will get creamy latex. The next step is to add appropriate colors to this creamy latex for getting rubber band color. The next process is to dip the creamy latex in a mould, before that the mould will dipped in acid for avoiding sticking of the rubber. Post dipping this will get dried in sunlight . The final step is to cut down this pipe snapped rubber in to small size of rubber bands and then it will be dried in sunlight. To get more glacing the rubber bands are mixed with oil and then packed .
