The first contingent of military soldiers and police from the Caribbean have started arriving in Haiti to join Kenya's Multinational Security Support mission. The group included 23 members of Jamaica's defense and constabulary force and two members of the Belize military. The United States has vetted over 200 Caribbean soldiers and police to participate in the struggling security mission. As the Caribbean lead, Jamaica's Defense Force Col. Kevron W. Henry will serve as deputy command of the MSS.
