In this part one comparison of both excel and R, I am showing how data transformation is done both in excel and R (from wider format to Longer format). I also create basic bar-chart in both softwares for the top 10 countries with the highest Life Expectancy worldwide.

Data source: UN World Population Prospects data on Life expectancy (1950 - 2020) accessed through #wpp2019 package.
