Hey hey hey!!! How are you doing guys? I feel sorry about my absence ont he last months, but something special made me return: it's the birthday of Randy Nutterdubs (aka bamf4k), so i wish him a excellent day and many more years of life, and i thank him a lot for being part of my Led Zeppelin life for two years! Since he's a awesome friend, he needs a awesome show as a gift: Long Beach 1972! This concert wich was used for the HTWWW 2003 live album, but this is of course the audience recording! The tape uses at least three sources, with the first two in good quality and the third one sounding rough but still listenable!

The 1972 North American Tour is one of my favourites of the band considering the ever-expanding setlist (three new songs were included, Over The Hills And Far Away, Daning Days, and at two shows, The Ocean) and the band's performance is simply faultless throghout most of the time. However, 1972 was the first year where Plant's voice started to go through trouble. Some of the Australia performances early into the year (patircularly Adelaide and Melbourne) featured Plant sounding very weak on his higher register, and being forced to alter the phrasings on songs. These North American shows have fairly similar results: with the excepetion of one or two shows, we have Plant sounding pretty conservative with a good portion of the songs, and some shows actually features him sounding really tired (a.k.a. San Bernardino). On this show, he starts off a tad rough (delivering a very weak Immigrant Song, with a lot of cracks and breaks throghout), but noticeably improves as the show goes on. Later songs of the set feature him sounding pretty strong overrall, plus combinated with Page's unique solos, Jonesy's creative bass lines and Bonzo's outstanding drumming, you're in set for great performances of Stairway To Heaven, Dancing Days, Dazed And Confused, Dancing Days and a awesome Whole Lotta Love with a fantastic medley! Enjoy, and happy birthday Harry once more!
