Join me on this last minute trek to the Mow Cop and Limekiln Wood Circular where I find a castle that I never knew existed!

This is a beautiful circular route starting at Mow Cop, following parts of the South Cheshire Way, the Cheshire Ring Canal Walk, and the Staffordshire Way as you make your way through farmlands and woodlands. You will also have views of Hanging Wood and Macclesfield Canal.

Mow Cop Castle is a folly at Mow Cop in the civil parish of Odd Rode, Cheshire, England. It is designated as a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England. The ridge, upon which the castle sits, forms the boundary between the counties of Cheshire and Staffordshire, the dioceses of Chester and Lichfield and the ecclesiastical provinces of Canterbury and York.
