Описание к видео Modding and Repairing some Xbox 360 Controllers

I initially wasn't going to film this but I figured, even if it's the minority, someone likes stuff like this.

It looks like the chatpad might actually be PC compatible. I haven't tried it yet myself but take a look at this: https://github.com/Kytech/xbox360wire...

Yes, that second controller is USB Type C modified. The mod is for WIRED controllers, not wireless. Check it out here: https://github.com/HDR/Xbox-360-USB-C...

In hindsight, so the first controller. But that one is charge only, no data. The mod is not documented anywhere that I know of.

These are the tact switches I used (requires trimming, not the most optimal part but it is what I had): https://www.digikey.com/product-detai...

And finally, if you want to do LEDs, any 0603 LEDs should work fine.

I do plan on doing more Xbox 360 and Xbox One videos at some point (mostly just the controllers) but it's probably going to be a while. Enjoy!

TL;DW: First controller works fine but the sync button does not work. The issue is that the button itself is wedged between the casing and the PCB and just needs to be taken apart and put back together. Second controller (thumbnail) is a custom that I built from an old wired controller. Everything works but the shoulder buttons are less than pleasant to use. After much trial and error, the issue was a combination of poorly fitting aftermarket parts and just a worn out button. I ended up swapping the tact switches and the LEDs on this controller and now it's working great. The third controller (which I did most of the work on off camera) had an issue with the crystal oscillator, likely caused by the previous owner using hot air on the top of the PCB. Resoldering the clock crystal resolved this issue.
