Phew, I finally uploaded this. I just keep procrastinating on uploading videos, for some reason. Anyways, here's another level that would be a crime not to upload. I have really mixed feelings about this level, it's hot garbage but in a unique way that makes it a masterpiece. Even though everything about this level is something you should avoid when designing one (thumbnail says enough), some people struggled with this level in the discord, so playing this was exciting in a way.
A very similar level by the same maker was actually uploaded in SMM2, which was beaten by Bearly. Thanks to his clear video, it was much easier to navigate through the SMM1 version. However, I still didn't know what to do in the spring part, but EntityLimit helped me, so thanks to him as well.
Let's talk about each section:
-The very beginning, the chain chomp part in the overworld, was already RNG. Usually at least one of the chain chomps swung in my direction. Fortunately, it was at the very beginning, so any death there, although very common, didn't waste much time each.
-The spring part was the most confusing to me. I don't know if it's required, but I held the jump button because it makes mario fall a bit later. The biggest problem was with the 2nd half, as I didn't know you have to slow down a bit before the last non-sideways spring. In Bearly's video, it didn't even look that he slowed down.
-The hammer bro room was 100% RNG. There was a small chance that he would fall down. Sometimes I was lucky and had to wait only 30 seconds, sometimes it didn't fall within 500 seconds, and I needed 300 or so seconds left for the next part. However, once you get the red coin from this room, the rest is easy, which is why my heart started beating fast once the hammer bro jumped down.
-The chain chomp part took the most time, but it was the easiest, which is why I left it for last. The way this works is that chained chain chomps escape free from their chains after 50 lunges, which takes about 5 minutes. This is a lesser known mechanic that exists in the original SMB3 game.
-The part after the key door may look precise, but in reality it's very easy. All you have to do is jump instantly after exiting the door, while holding left. The time frame for that is not tight.
