Lucy Landymore plays her piece Romance XL at the RadioKulturhaus, Vienna in Austria.

The name Romance XL was given because I wanted to compose one piece that contains all of my favourite elements of music. The first is the beauty of the phrasing we make in classical music. This is rarely thought about on the drums so I have created my own 'romantic' tune. But the second love of mine adds a twist; that is the syncopation and feel of cuban music. The third element is to portray the power and layering of film music. I'm surrounded by a vast amount of timbres which allow me to create this feeling, which is what the "XL" in the title relates to.

I am using Brazilian, Cuban and African instruments around the drum kit.
