How to build a foiling electric raceboat championship | INSIDE E1 EPISODE 1

#InsideE1 is a docuseries that will show the development of the E1 Series, its people, and its pillars through exclusive behind-the-scenes footage in the build up to the first race in 2023.

The journey starts in early 2020 during the first lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic. The E1 Series co-founders Alejandro Agag and Rodi Basso discussed the possibility of a world-first electric powerboat championship with the goal of electrifying marine mobility.

Following their talks, the pair reunited with Sophi Horne (SeaBird Technologies) who went on to design the first concept of the RaceBird and work alongside Brunello Acampora (Victory Marine) to develop the final details of the powerboat.

The digital launch in June 2021 was followed by a life-size RaceBird reveal in September in Monaco, which will also be one of the first locations confirmed for the E1 Series race calendar.

From legacy programmes to RaceBird construction to driver and location announcements, Inside E1 will cover it all and bring you closer to the people causes at the heart of the company.

The first episode airs on YouTube on Wednesday, September 22nd and will focus on the origins of the E1 Series, its founders, key personnel, and the early construction of the RaceBird showboat in Turin, Italy.
