Kogan Vertical Air Conditioner Unit Review - Part 1

PLEASE NOTE:- I just made a discovery that I should have made note of in this video. There is also a drain plug at the front of the unit. It's located directly below the K in Kogan on the bottom of the aircon unti. Handy for those people that want to a run a hose inside, or just empty any excess water/condensation that can build up in the unit if you leave the plugs in.
The timer unit can also be used to turn off or turn on the unit after a specific period of time.
These two new discoveries have made teh unit even more versatile and user freiendly in my eyes.

We have just received and installed our Kogan Vertical Air Conditioning Unit.

I was quite pleasently suprised at how easy it was to install. The frame easily sits into s standard metal window frame, and then it's a matter of adjusting the sliding frame to fit the size of your window frame, tightening a few screws, and then inserting the air con unit into tt's frame.

At first I was worried that the weight of the air con unit would make it difficult to install, however the frame sits very tightly in the window and does not flex or move when the air con unit is sitting in the frame.

I've installed our unit in our backroom where I use my computer, and the 1.75KM does a great job of making the room very cool, even when the late afternoon summer sun is hitting the window here on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

The unit is very easy to operate either from the touch screen, or from the remote.

It so far has also done an excellent job of keeping the weather out when installed in the window, and it has now been through several major storms where the rain and wind were pounding against the back of this unit.

All in all, I think the unit is well worth the money, and it can easily be moved from room to room, or taken to your new home if ever required, which negates the need of getting a glazier involved to fit your air con unit in or out of the window.
