मोटापा सिर्फ एक बीमारी नहीं, बल्कि कई गंभीर बीमारियों की जड़ है। यही परेशानी झेल रहे थे Dr. Meraj , जो कभी 129 किलो के थे लेकिन आज वह सिर्फ 81 किलो पर आकर लोगों को नई ऊर्जा और उम्मीद दे रहे हैं। उनकी यह कहानी सिर्फ वज़न घटाने की नहीं, बल्कि आत्मविश्वास, अनुशासन और ज़िद की कहानी है।
उत्तर प्रदेश के भदोही गाँव से आने वाले Dr. Meraj ने BHMS और MD किया था और Medical Officer बनने का उन्होंने सपना देखा था। अपने सपने को साकार करने की वजह से वह ,पढ़ाई और काम के चलते वह लंबे समय तक बैठे रहते थे , व्यायाम से दूर थे और उनका वजन लगातार बढ़ता चला गया। हालत यह हो गई कि चलने-फिरने में दिक्कत होने लगी, सांस फूलने लगी और छोटी-सी दूरी पर भी थकान छा जाती थी। डॉक्टरों ने साफ कह दिया था कि अगर आप अब नहीं बदले तो आगे चलना भी मुश्किल हो जाएगा। यह चेतावनी, बहन की शादी के दौरान एक साधारण-सा बैग उठाने में हुई परेशानी और समाज की तानों ने उन्हें अंदर से झकझोर दिया।
यही वह मोड़ था, जब उन्होंने ठान लिया कि इस शरीर को बदलना ही है। उन्होंने weight loss journey शुरू की पहले 2-3 km walk से शुरुआत की और फिर running तक पहुँच गए। पहले लोग मज़ाक उड़ाते थे कि डॉक्टर साहब चलने से कुछ नहीं होगा, लेकिन वही मज़ाक उनके लिए motivation बन गया। उन्होंने सुबह 4 बजे उठकर दौड़ने की आदत डाली और इतनी मेहनत की कि हाल ही में Mysore Masters Athletic Championship में 10,000 meter running में medal भी जीता। आज उनका Fitness routine इतना सख्त है कि बिना walk और running किए नाश्ता भी नहीं करते।
Dr. Meraj की कहानी हमें सिखाती है कि मोटापा सिर्फ शरीर नहीं, बल्कि आत्मविश्वास और सपनों को भी दबा देता है। लेकिन अगर आप ठान लें और अनुशासन बना लें, तो कोई ताकत आपको बदलने से रोक नहीं सकती। समाज को जवाब बातों से नहीं, बल्कि अपने नतीजों से दीजिए।
Obesity is not just a disease, it is the root cause of many serious health problems. This was the same struggle faced by Dr. Meraj, who once weighed 129 kg, but today he has transformed himself to just 81 kg, inspiring people with new energy and hope. His story is not only about losing weight, but also about self-confidence, discipline, and determination.
Hailing from Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Meraj pursued BHMS and MD with dreams of becoming a Medical Officer. But long study hours and a sedentary lifestyle led to excessive weight gain, breathlessness, and constant fatigue. Doctors warned that if he didn’t act, even walking could become impossible. The breaking point came at his sister’s wedding, when he couldn’t lift a small bag — a moment, along with society’s taunts, that shook him deeply.
That was the turning point. Determined to transform, he began his weight loss journey with 2–3 km walks that soon turned into runs. Though mocked at first, those taunts fueled his drive. Rising daily at 4 AM, he built a strict routine that led him to win a medal in the 10,000-meter run at the Mysore Masters Athletic Championship. Today, his discipline is such that he never has breakfast before completing his walk and run.
Dr. Meraj’s journey teaches us that obesity not only affects the body but also crushes confidence and dreams. But if you decide to change and stay disciplined, no force can stop you.
