I'm using ny brand new Atom X27 MP LVLP for the first time to spray Clear Coat on my dad's Chevy Silverado Hood due bad clear coat delamination. I'm spraying the hood in my homemade pvc pipe spray booth that when I built I had no intention of spraying a truck hood in so there is hardly any room to spray hence the reason for bonking myself in the head/camera several times and my arm getting hung up a bit. With all of that the hood still came out great and matched up beautifully as you will see the before and after pictures in the video. The hood was so bad I had to spray Base coat first which I have footage of and will post. Anyways I wanted to do this all in a voiceover but was having a hard time finding an editing app that was free and actually worked. So I just wanted to post the video and decided to type it out in description for anyone who wanted more details. My gun settings are 29-30psi with a wide open fan pattern and fluid wide open as well.(About 1 and a half to 2 turns in) I'm using a MS Clear Coat Montana Big Sky Clear Shot 2600 with a Medium activator/hardener. I did get some dust/garbage in the clear which I plan to buff out but the pictures you see in the end of the finished hood installed are as is after spraying with just the off the gun gloss. I hope you guys enjoyed and my thoughts on the Atom X27 MP LVLP are all positive. I have nothing bad to say about the gun it is very well made and sprays very nice and feels great in you're hand and is easy to maneuver. I would definitely recommend this gun if you're in the market for a high end spray gun but don't want to fork over 500$ or more for one.
