Formula One Grand Prix - Keyboard Vs. Wheel - Which One Is Faster?

Let's return to year 1991 and to MicroProse Formula One Grand Prix for one more time!

It's already been more than two years since the opening race of my F1GP Hardcore season but I just got a comment about my qualifying lap in Phoenix not being "amazingly fast" as I stated on the video. This gave me an idea: Let's see what is the speed difference between a keyboard and a racing wheel in this game.

With a keyboard you have to have steering assist on because of the digital inputs. It's a lot easier to drive but at the same time you have to follow the AI line which is not always the optimal driving line.

With a wheel you can choose your driving line freely but on the other hand it's a lot more difficult to drive and to sense the limits of the grip. Also the car behaves weird when it loses grip.

So let's do some laps at Phoenix and see what's the result of this ultra-scientific experiment! We'll do four qualifying laps for both control methods, all with fresh qualifying tires. In the end we'll see the fastest laps and the average lap times for both methods.
