The National September 11 Memorial and Liberty Park Walking Tour | July 2024

This is an unnarrated walking tour of the grounds of The National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Liberty Park in Lower Manhattan.

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum remembers and honors those killed in the attacks of 9/11/2001 and 2/26/1993. The memorial consists of two reflecting pools set in the footprints of the Twin Towers, with names of the victims inscribed in bronze around the pools. The museum serves as the principal institution concerned with exploring the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting their impact and exploring 9/11's continuing significance.

Liberty Park is a one-acre elevated public park overlooking the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in Lower Manhattan. The park is located above the World Trade Center's Vehicular Security Center. The St. Nicholas National Shrine is located within the park, as well as Fritz Koenig's The Sphere, and the America's Response Monument.
