A unimat SL 1000 Compound rest build demo - 50hrs in 5minutes

Made for a Unimat SL 1000 Lathe for the Unimat lathe: This is a quick demo of the compound rest build. I'm showing 50 build hours in 5 minutes. Unlike most lathes the unimat SL 1000 - same as the Unimat DB lathe do not have a compound rest. Instead, you need to swivel the motor and spindle mount and thus loose concentricity, which means you will have to spend ~40minutes later getting the lathe concentric. I therefore opted to make a compound rest for my unimat.
It was quite a challenge as the unimat as a mill is not that rigid, it has a very short Z axis movement (16mm) and you loose the position if you move since the colomn is round.
Still - it was fun, It was a challange and I enjoyed it.
