A marriage without a marriage ceremony is null and void under Philippine law

Описание к видео A marriage without a marriage ceremony is null and void under Philippine law

A marriage celebrated in the Philippines without a marriage ceremony is null and void, but a court declaration of its nullity is required before one can remarry. A court case has to be filed and concluded before the second marriage can take place.

A second marriage without the benefit of such a declaration is itself null and void.

The marriage ceremony requirement also makes it so that a marriage by proxy cannot be validly celebrated in the Philippines.
