Webinar Recording: Setting the Direction for the Right to Read

Описание к видео Webinar Recording: Setting the Direction for the Right to Read

LD@school is pleased to invite school boards, particularly central and senior teams, to join us for this free webinar which explores how two Ontario school boards have responded to the recommendations of the Right to Read Report. Karyn Bruneel is a superintendent at the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board and a former director of the Ontario Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch. Bobbie Chatha is a System Principal of Programs at the Waterloo Region District School Board. At their respective boards, Karyn and Bobbie have been working to ensure that a cohesive plan is in place. Their aim is to help senior staff understand the scope of the recommendations and lay a clear path for central staff to support schools and classrooms working to build their skills and knowledge of evidence-based reading instruction. They will share ideas for implementing key elements of evidence-based instruction on a large scale and some effective models of learning for central staff, schools, and educators. This webinar will also share some ideas on the selection of resources and tools that support the implementation of the report's recommendations.
