How to fix an issue that can come about when changing the impeller on a Johnson 4.0 outboard engine.

As the pinion gear isn't retained when the impeller is removed, the drive shaft can sometimes come out, which in turn leaves the pinion gear ' floating ' in the gearbox.

The front cover must be removed and the gear and bearing reinstalled to correct this.
