1979 Stern TRIDENT pinball machine

For your viewing pleasure today, I present to you Stern's Trident from 1979.

This is genuinely a great game. I have a huge soft spot for early solid state Sterns and this one is near the top of my favourites. The unique lower playfield and the extra set of slings half way up the playfield make the ball really move. The rules are simple. Hit the drops to increase the bonus multiplier, hit the stationary targets to light the spinners and build the bonus. Completing the stationary targets once lights the extra ball and twice lights the special. That's pretty much it. My only complaint is that there is no way to collect the bonus without losing the ball.
