Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk

Описание к видео Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk

In this video, we will be looking at “Maché” which means “to walk; to work, to function” in Creole.
As usual, we’ll be playing three (3) games to ensure you really understand how words are combined to give new meaning in Lesser Antillean French-based Creole. Today’s games are all Creole expressions, so you’ll have a chance to learn a Creole expression and see how Grenadians mix Creole and English. Spend a few minutes with us as we “walk belly under excrement” and learn more than one way to take care of ourselves while promoting the language. See how many phrases you know already and use. Finally, you will get an opportunity to learn how to use the words learnt in a proverb.

Before us and after
Creole Expressions have and will capture
The Spirit of a People once captured

Carrying the torch of wisdom from those who came before us
Proverbs that spell not just words to rattle through the day
But to spill light on the pit that may be on the path before us
Or on the lives of all those we encounter through the day

Through the day or the night
All that's good or bad is a lesson for life
The language we call Creole teaches life
