"Bayarang Puso" tells the story of Ruth (Erich Gonzales), a diligent, industrious young woman raised solely by her mother (Sunshine Cruz) whose husband (Ariel Rivera) left her for another woman (Ayen Munji-Laurel). With a noble, lofty ambition to lift her mother and her family out of indigent conditions, she meets a young, skilled man (Gerald Anderson) who is to be her husband. When a horrendous accident leaves Ruth in a coma and her child dead, she discovers that her husband abandoned her for a rich benefactor. As she endeavors to regain her honor and achieve her ambitions by herself, she crosses paths with a young woman named Janine (Bela Padilla), the daughter of an affluent, wealthy couple (Ariel Rivera & Ayen Munji-Laurel). With the dark secrets of the past unraveling before Ruth's very eyes, she must make a choice between her former husband, now with his benefactor, and another man (Ejay Falcon), who will teach her how to love again.
